LONDON (ICIS)--CB&I has been awarded an engineering contract with Lianyungang Petrochemical to undertake the initial work on two 1.25m tonne/year ethylene plants in Jiangsu province, China, the US engineering services firm said on Wednesday. The plants will be the first in China to process 100% ethane feedstocks rather than mixed or liquid feeds, CB&I said, underlining the growing interest among players in the country in lowcost US shale gas supplies. Financial details for the contract were not disclosed.
