Brazil Copenor puts suspended methanol unit on the block

MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--Brazilian methanol producer Companhia Petroquimica do Nordeste (Copenor) on Thursday said it was seeking to sell its methanol production unit at Camacari in northeastern Bahia state. The unit was suspended in July 2016. after a drop in international methanol prices and the high cost of natural gas in Brazil had reduced profit margins.
