The rail locomotive frame (1) comprises two external hollow longitudinal bearers (2), and, at least over a part length, a middle part (3). Both on the inside of the longitudinal bearers and on the outside of the middle part on each side of the locomotive are two flange bearings (4). These bearings on each side of the vehicle carry bolts (5a). To both bolts (5a) on each vehicle side, two suspension plates (6) are transversally located pendulum fashion, each with pendulum bearings. Beneath the bolts, the plates have a deeper located hole with a further pendulum bearing. In this latter bearing on each side of the vehicle is a common bolt (9). This common bolt (9) carries the suspension lug for a block brake unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - For rail locomotives, as a simple, easy to produce, maintenance-free component for the safe and precise positioning of a block brake unit.
