Economist sees continued US growth with little recession risk

HOUSTON (ICIS)--The US economy should continue expanding, albeit at a slower rate, with just a 10-12% chance of a recession in the next six to nine months, economist John Silvia said on Tuesday. While the risk of recession is low, Silvia still pointed out some issues to watch. He made his comments during a presentation at The Houston Economics Club (THEC). Silvia was the former chief economist for Wells Fargo. He has since started up Dynamic Economic Strategy.
