INTERACTIVE: US April homebuilder confidence edges up

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US homebuilder confidence rose by one point in April, with sentiment holding in the low 60s during the last three months, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI) said in a Tuesday report. “Builders report solid demand for new single-family homes, but they are also grappling with affordability concerns stemming from a chronic shortage of construction workers and buildable lots,” said Greg Ugalde, chairman at the NAHB.
