Taiwan’s FPCC seeks H2 May naphtha;crackers ops full

SINGAPORE(ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical(FPCC)is seeking through a tender naphtha for second-half May delivery,according to market sources.FPCC had initially planned to skip its second-half May spot requirements,while considering adjusting down cracker operating rates,following an explosion that affected a related aromatics facility.Earlier intentions to tweak cracker rates were a result of issues related to the management of pygas,a by-product of naphtha.Its crackers are currently running at full capacity.
