Borealis, OMV mull chemical plastic waste recycling at Austria site

LONDON (ICIS)--Borealis and OMV are examining options to expand their cooperation at the Schwechat, Austria, refinery and petrochemicals complex with an eye to developing chemical recycling solutions for polyolefins production, the companies said on Wednesday. The arrangement is expected to centre around OMV’s ReOil project, which produces synthetic crude from plastic waste.
