Evonik Q4 net income slumps on Rhine costs, weaker performance materials

ESSEN, Germany (ICIS)--Evonik’s net income fell 96% year on year in the fourth quarter of 2018 on the back of weaker earnings for its performance materials division and higher logistics costs due to low water levels on the River Rhine, the Germany- headquartered specialty chemicals producer said on Tuesday.
