China, SE Asia PVC discussions to remain soft amid slowdown in India

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Discussions for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) deals in Asia are expected to remain at softer levels in the near term as demand continues to be tepid in key market India. A major northeast Asian producer announced fresh May PVC offers on 15 April at a $40/tonne reduction to India and $30/tonne reduction to China, respectively, as buyers remain cautious ahead of the upcoming general elections in India.
