US chemical rail traffic rises 1.2%, Canada up 10.6%

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US and Canadian chemical railcar shipments rose for the week ended 12 November while shipments in Mexico fell, the Association of American Railroads (AAR) said on Wednesday. US chemical rail shipments rose 1.2% year on year to 29,512 loadings, following five consecutive weekly declines. For the first 45 weeks of 2016 ended 12 November, shipments were up also 1.2% year on year, to 1.38m loadings.
