TDI prices into South America rise on tight global supply

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Toluene di-isocyanate (TDI) business in South America is being concluded at high TDI prices driven by tight global supply, regional sources said on Wednesday. The sources said that Asian product was offered into South America at higher prices than US TDI. The degree of tightness depends on the global region. TDI availability is gauged as short in Asia and Europe, but US TDI buyers said that supply in North America is, at worst, finely balanced.
