US Eastman seeks 3 cent/lb hike for alcohols

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US producer Eastman Chemicals is seeking a 3 cent/lb ($66/tonne) increase for propyl acetate and propyl alcohol, effective on 1 December or as contracts allow, ICIS learned on Wednesday. In a letter to customers posted on its website, the company said the increase is for off- list prices in North America and Latin America.
