AFPM intervenes on behalf of EPA in biofuel RFS petition

HOUSTON (ICIS)--The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) filed a motion on Wednesday to intervene on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in a petition submitted by several biofuel industry groups. In the petition, the groups requested that a US court review the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS). While the latest standard requires refiners to add progressively larger amounts of ethanol, the levels still fall below targets set in 2007.
