摘要

The demand of C-Mn vessel steel with hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) resistance increases rapidly with the increase of mining of high sulfur content oil or gas. HIC is caused by sulfur in oil or gas in wet hydrogen sulfide environment1). The strength of C-Mn vessel steel is improved by addition of easy-to-segregate elements such as carbon and manganese. However, those elements also deteriorate the HIC-resistance property. Therefore, it is important to understand the formation mechanism of HIC, in order to improve the HIC-resistance property.
