摘要

Flat rolling manifests a complex, coupled nature of the problem in the manner that deformation of the strip and deformation of the work roll influence each other, while the deformation of the work roll is influenced by the deformation of other rolls in the roll-stack. Considering that a few micro-meter difference in the strip crown between the on-line prediction and the measurement may possibly cause a catastropic halt in production, it is imperative to establish a novel approach which would lead to better prediction accuracy than has ever been achieved in the past. In this paper, finite element strategies for the treatment of the coupled nature of the problem and the computational schemes are described, with some applications.
