摘要

A muon is one of the elementa elementary particles having the same charge as an electron and 207 y times higher mass than that of an electron. When a muon is stopped in the material, the muon makes muon atomic orbit around a nucleus and a muonic atom having one muon instead of an atomic electron is formed. Because the muon captured in an atom exists in highly excited muon atomic levels in initial, the muon immediately de de-excite to muonic 1s state with emitting muonic X X-rays by atomic transitions transitions. Using the mu . muonic X onic X-rays, non non-destructive elemental analysis method has been developed so far [1, 2] 2], and applied for , various samples, such as heritage [3 3-5] 5], extraterrestrial materials [6, 7] and so on.
