摘要

Grain refinement strengthening is usually used as a method to increase material's strength, where Hall-PetchRelationshipis generally known to hold between grain size, d, and the yield stress.Although a few interpretations of the strengthening mechanism exists such as pile-up model and Li's model3), therehas been no consensus in the understanding of yielding mechanism yet because the yield phenomenon is an atomiclevel and high speed phenomenon which cannot be directly observed by experimental methods.
