Formosa (Vietnam) looks to export, despite growing demand at home

After a long-awaited launch of the largest integrated steel project in Vietnam and the whole ASEAN region – FormosaHa Tinh Steel (FHS), rapidly growing Vietnam’s flats steel market has already started to feel the effect. However, consideringthe mill’s plans for export expansion along with significant consumption growth in the country, the influenceof FHS on Vietnam’s steel sector in the short and medium term has been somehow overrated.
