Thailand launches AD investigation on pipe imports from Vietnam

Thailand started antidumping investigation against pipes and tubes imports from Vietnam.The trade case was initiated by the Department of Foreign Trade (DFT) following a petition from domestic steel representativesCotcometalworks Co., Thai Metal Trade, Pacific Pipe, Asia Metal, Thai Coon Steel Co., according to theannouncement published in the Government Gazette on August 22, 2016. Petitioners stated that imports from Vietnamsoared, causing damage to local steel industry and affecting the companies’ operations.
