Iran’s consumers achieve abatement in import duties on flats

After long discussions, Iran’s government decided to slash import duties on various flat steel products since the beginningof new Persian year (March 21, 2018 – March 20, 2019). Such a step was mainly driven by the consumers,especially pipe-makers owing, which insisted on lower rates of tariffs amid limited domestic supply.
