Vale to set up iron ore distribution base in South China

Brazilian mining giant Vale is planning to set up an iron ore blending and distribution centre in China’s city of Zhanjiang,in southern Guangdong province.During the 2018 Technical Seminar, South China Session, Vale informed the participants about the intention to establisha new iron ore base in the city port, according to the note on the official website of Zhanjiang city. The port will cooperatewith Vale, trading companies and platforms to create the centre. The move is aimed at increasing high-grade oresupply to Chinese steelmakers as in the long term the demand for it is expected to be gradually rising due to switchto environment friendly production, Metal Expert understands.
