Kardemir has set its domestic offers of 150x150 mm billet at $438/t (TRY 2,980/t) EXW for S235JR and $444/t (TRY 3,015/t) EXW for AIII grade at $1 = TRY 5.76. As the rate weakened to $1 = TRY 5.79, the mill managed to market 43,600 t and close the sales, Metal Expert learnt. Before the holiday the domestic billet prices in Turkey were at $450-465/t EXW depending on the region, whereas today the producers are expected to have trouble selling far above $445-450/t EXW, Metal Expert understands.
