Phase equilibria in the Sm2O3 - Fe2O3 - CoO and Sm2O3 - CaO - CoO systems were systematically studied at 1100 degrees C in air. The following solid solutions: SmFe1- xCoxO3 (0 <= x <= 1), Ca3-ySmyCo2O6-delta (0.6 <= y <= 0.7) and Sm2-rCarCoO4-delta (0.8 <= r <= 1) have been detected in the studied systems. Structural parameters for the single phase samples were refined using the Rietveld analysis. Thermal expansion, electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of SmFe1-xCoxO3-delta( x = 0.2, 0.5 and 0.8), Ca2.3Sm0.7Co2O6-delta and SmCaCoO4-delta were measured within the temperature range of 25-1100 degrees C in air. The subsolidus phase diagrams for the 1/2 Sm2O3 - 1/2 Fe2O3 - CoO system and 1/2 Sm2O3 - CaO - CoO system both at 1100 degrees C in air have been constructed. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.
