BASF introduces new FCC catalyst for butylenes production

The German chemical company has unveiled its latest FCC catalyst offering Fourte~(TM), which is based on BASF's new multiple framework topology (MFT) technology. MFT enhances performance through the use of more than one framework topology that work together to tailor the catalyst selectivity profile. By using MFT, Fourte is able to deliver superior selectivity to butylenes while maintaining catalyst activity when processing gasoil feedstocks.
