First PolyFuel~R unit commissioned at OMV Petrom refinery in Romania

In April this year,the Petrobrazi refinery successfully started up a unit to oligomerize olefins in FCC LPG and cracked naphtha into higher-quality gasoline and middle distillates after four years of work.The PolyFuel~R technology licensed by French oil and gas developer Axens is based on the synergy of its current Selectopol~TM and Polynaphtha~TM processes.The unit was said to perform according to the expectations.The primary purpose of the PolyFuel process is to maximize jet fuel production using the IP 811 catalyst from Axens.
