Petrobras receives Essar's bid for its refinery, plans to divest biodiesel business.

The Indian firm joined Abu Dhabi's state investment firm Mubadala Investment Co. in submitting a binding bid for the 333K-b/d Mataripe refinery in the northeastern state of Bahia. Commenting on the bids, Petrobras CEO Roberto Castello Branco said, "We are happy with the offers we received. They met our expectations. It is the first big asset put on offer this year and in such a complex time for the global economy and oil industry, it was a very good result."
