Most US cracking margins still shrinking,but West Coast maintains profitability

Reuters data indicated cracking margins on Brent at the US Gulf Coast averaged $1.98/bbl over the week ending May 22-lower by $1.50/bbl from the previous week and the second week-on-week tightening in a row.The average weekly margin on WTI lost $1.55/bbl to $4.27/bbl-the fourth consecutive weekly decline.Cracking margins on WTI at the US East Coast fell for the third week in a row,dropping $1.38/bbl for a weekly average of $5.30/bbl.East-Coast cracking margins on Arab Medium,however,strengthened for the first time in four weeks,gaining 20￠/bbl over the week to May 22 for an average of $2.18/bbl.
