Background The Model of Early Allograft Function (MEAF) grades the severity of liver graft dysfunction. Unlike the categorical early allograft dysfunction (EAD) classification, MEAF is a continuous score, based on bilirubin, international normalized ratio, and alanine aminotransferase within 3 days posttransplant.
