BHP to Return $10.4B to Shareholders via Buy-back, Special Dividend

BHP announced on 1 November its plan to return $10.4 bil to its shareholders through the combination of an offmarketbuy-back and a special dividend. The program will commence immediately with BHP targeting an off-marketbuy-back of $5.2 bil of BHP Billiton Limited shares under which BHP Billiton Limited can buy back shares at up to a 14%discount.
