The Export Market Prices of U.S. and European Scraps to Turkey Unchanged

There have not been any new notable contracts of the U.S. and European ferrous scraps to Turkey during the “Golden Week” holidays. So, wait-and-see stances are spotted in the overseas market. The last contracts of the U.S. ferrous scraps to Turkey were made in the 3rd week of April, in which the prices were around US$ 256-257/ton CFR on the mix of No.1 HMS (80%) and No.2 HMS (20%), or HMS (80/20) basis. No new contracts have been made since then. While the decrease in supplied quantity attributed to the price hike in the market, the demand for ferrous scraps has been low. The market has been stagnant because of those two factors
