Import Volume of SUS Products in August 2020 Is 14,925 Tons

The import volume of stainless steel products in August 2020, which was compiled by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation based on the foreign trade statistics prepared by the Ministry of Finance, was 14,925 tons, down by 7.5% from 16,135 tons in the prior month. The import from major countries when compared with the prior month was <> South Korea: down by 7.7%, <> Taiwan: down by 4.6% and <> China: down by 24.1%. The import volume from major 3 countries declined across the board from the prior month.
