TerraCom to Work toward Expansion of Coal Business

TerraCom Limited, a midsize coal mining company in Australia has been working toward the expansion and diversification of the coal business. In fact, TerraCom has recently succeeded in taking over Universal Coal plc developing the coal business in South Africa by proposing a takeover bid (TOB). TerraCom holds a stake of more than 90% in Universal Coal at the present moment. TerraCom intends to raise its shareholding ratio in the near future by compulsorily taking over the remaining shares in Universal Coal. At this point of time, the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) will delist Universal Coal.
