LESS THAN HALF OF PHARMACY INTEGRATION FUND HAS BEEN SPENT

Pharmacy minister Steve Brine told MPsjust before Christmas that less than half the money promised for the Pharmacy Integration Fund (PhlF) in 2016-2018 had been spent at that point. In October 2016, NHS England announced that it would spend ￡42m between 2016-2018. But Brine revealed in a letter sent to the All-Party Pharmacy Group (APPG) that the estimated spend by the fund in December was around ￡18.5m, describing it as "a significant underspend" of the fund.
