A giant coal mining company having a coal sales volume in excess of 200 million tons as a result of the fact thatPeabody Energy Corporation and Arch Coal Inc. which are a major coal mining company in the U.S. will integrate theircoal businesses in the Powder River Basin (PRB) and the State of Colorado.Peabody Energy is now running such coal mines as (1) North Antelope Rochelle coal mine, (2) Rawhide coalmine and (3) Caballo coal mine in PRB and (4) Twentymile coal mine in Colorado. All of 3 coal mines in PRB are anopen-cut coal mine and Twentymile coal mine is an underground coal mine based on the longwall mining method.
