摘要

More than two years ago, energy analysis that tended tocontradict Obama administration aims, including the passageof the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) and theimplementation of the so-called Clean Power Plan, were scrubbedfrom the Department of Energy’s National Energy TechnologyLaboratory website. Now you see it, now you don’t.The research has been restored in what appears to be an effortto buttress Energy Secretary Rick Perry’s proposal to FERCto adopt measures to support traditional baseload generation;mainly coal and nuclear plants. The importance of thedocuments certainly isn’t what they predicted about the futurefrom a 2014-2015 vantage point, though some of the predictionscertainly have proven accurate.
