China’s Huaneng Power International (Huaneng) has launched a tender Tuesday seeking a total of 616,000 mt, or about 11 shipments of low-to-high calorific value thermal coal for August loading. In the tender, the utility sought 118,000 mt of 3,400 kcal/kg NAR to Shidongkou port in southern China and Dandong port in northern China, 120,000 mt of 3,800 kcal/kg NAR to Fuzhou port in southeastern China and Shidongkou port in southern China and 85,000 mt of 4,100 kcal/kg NAR-4,200 kcal/kg NAR to south and southeastern China.
