Asian polypropylene rose for the seventh consecutive week this week, but the surge was tapered by falling demand and the upcoming China National Day holiday starting October 1. In the CFR Far East Asia market, PP raffia was assessed at $1,450/mt Wednesday, up $6/mt from Tuesday and up $25/mt from last Wednesday. Prices rose on account of higher offers, which ranged over $1,480-1,560/mt CFR China Main Port. Producers said offers were raised in response to higher propylene feedstock and limited PP supply in China.
