Amman-Iraq’s oil ministry hopes to re-establish federal control over crude oil exports to Turkey by building a new export pipeline that would replace the line destroyed by militants, and bypass the Kurdistan Regional Government. State oil companies had been instructed to begin preparing the necessary documents for the construction of the new pipeline from the Baiji oil hub to the Fayshkhabour metering station near the Iraq-Turkey border, oil ministry spokesman Asim Jihad said in a statement Sunday, quoting oil minister Jabbar al-Luaibi.
