ADNOC to nearly double gasoline production by 2022

Fujairah-abu dhabi National Oil Co, or adNOC plans to nearly double its gasoline production to 10.2 million mt/year by 2022, with the con- struction of a new refinery, the state-owned company said in a statement Tuesday. adNOC plans to invest in a number of projects, including a new world-scale refinery and a new mixed-feed naphtha cracker under its Borouge joint venture with Vienna-based Borealis, abdulla ateya al-Messabi, adNOC’s manager for refining and petrochemicals said. Under previous plans, adNOC had hoped to increase production capacity by more than half to 9.4 million mt/year.
