Shell ramps up Pernis refinery after restart completed

Shell's Pernis plant, Europe's biggest refinery, is now operational with almost all units fully commissioned, the company said Thursday. The 404,000 b/d Pernis is now "gradually increasing its production," it said. Production was halted after a power failure on July 29, but works on electricity supply have "largely been completed", the company said. The causes for the short circuit which resulted in a power outage are being investigated.
