Shandong independent refiners lift run rates

Singapore-China’s Shandong independent refineries raised their run rate to 62.5% in May but operations could slow in the coming days as companies begin scheduled maintenance pushed back into the second half of June. The May run rate, up 7 percentage points from the year-ago month, was slightly higher than 61.2% in April. The increase marked the first rebound after four straight monthly falls when run rates hit a record-high of 69.5% in December.
