ExxonMobil-led guyana partners turn up two more discoveries at Stabroek Block

Houston-Partners in the ExxonMobil-led Stabroek block offshore Guyana have made two more discoveries in the prolific oil basin, nearly eight months after their last find. Yellowtail-2, the 17th discovery, is located a mile southeast of the original Yellowtail discovery announced in April 2019. Yellowtail-2 was found in newly identified, high-quality oil-bearing reservoirs among intervals at the original find, ExxonMobil and Hess Corp said in statements Sept. 8. China's CNOOC is also a partner at Stabroek.
