Santiago—Operations have been suspended at the Antamina copper and zinc mine in northern Peru for the next two weeks after authorities in Lima extended quarantine measures to contain the spread of the coronavirus, mining company Teck said Monday. Last year, Antamina produced 100,900 mt of copper in concentrates and 68,300 mt of zinc in concentrates, making it one of the largest mines in the South American country.
