S&P Global Platts assessed the daily spot Japanese import 99.7% Al P1020/P1020A premium at $77-$87/mt plus London Metal Exchange cash, CIF Japan on Sept. 2, up by $2/mt on the day. An end-user source said that demand is improving in Japan, and firm prices in other parts of Asia had supported premium levels.
