Ukraine’s Jan-Feb ferronickel exports up 122% year on year

Kiev—Ukraine’s exports of ferronickel in- creased by 122% year on year to 12,480 mt in January-February from 5,630 mt in the same period of 2018, the state statistics service reported Thursday. Revenue from ferronickel exports soared to $25.7 million from $9.9 million, the statistics service said. Ferronickel, which contains about 20% nickel, is used as an alloy addition in steel smelting.
