Rhodium dips modestly on lower offers, but buyers raise bids

Washington—Rhodium prices fell modestly this week following a wave of deals early in the week done at lower offers levels, though buyers raised their bids as the week progressed. The Platts New York Dealer rhodium price fell to $3,450-$3,525/oz from $3,475- $3,570/oz last week, a level that some market sources believed was a stepping stone to $4,000/oz rhodium. “Basically, some [small-volume] stuff traded earlier in the week, and as we progressed throughout the week, some bids started coming in,” one PGMs refiner said, putting the range of deals this week at $3,460-$3,520/oz.
