Toyota plans major castings expansions at Bodine Aluminum in Missouri and Tennessee

Toyota is investing $112 million in its Bodine Aluminum plants in Missouri and Tennessee by 2022 as part of a larger $750-million planned outlay at its US operations in part to add more domestic capacity, a spokeswoman for the Japanese automaker said Wednesday. Bodine plants in Troy, Missouri, and Jackson, Tennessee, will add additional castings over the next few years, Leah Almeling told S&P Global Platts in an interview. Specific capacity figures in tonnage terms were not disclosed. Toyota acquired Bodine in 1990.
