Copper Mountain increases mineral reserve, extends mine life

Pittsburgh—The expected life of the Copper Mountain mine near Princeton, British Columbia, has been raised to 31 years from 26.5 years after the proven and probable mineral reserve and mineral resource increased 12%, according to owner Copper Mountain Mining. “We continue to grow the size and quality of the Copper Mountain Mine mineral reserves,” Copper Mountain’s President and CEO Gil Clausen said in a statement. “Over the last year we have integrated the New Ingerbelle pit, and now we have increased and integrated the CMM North pit as well as optimized the CMM Main pit.”
