The Platts China Shanxi daily spot alumina assessment fell Yuan 25 ($3.72) on Tuesday to Yuan 2,700/mt full-cash terms. The price also represented a fall of Yuan 40/mt over the last week and Yuan 65/mt from a month ago. Market sentiment and outlook have turned more bearish as talk of spot trades at lower prices grew, domestic metal prices remained low, and some refiners continued to face cash-flow concerns, market participants said.
