Estee Lauder joins #BeCrueltyFree campaign

US The Estee Lauder Companies(ELC)has become the latest beauty giant to lend its support to Humane Society International's #BeCrueltyFree campaign.The industry heavyweight,whose portfolio includes over 25 beauty brands,including Estee Lauder,Bobbi Brown,Aveda,MAC,La Mer and Tom Ford Beauty,has pledged to work towards an end to animal testing for cosmetics globally.Currently the China market requires mandatory animal testing for cosmetics and ELC has a strong presence in the country via a number of its brands.The #BeCrueltyFree campaign aims to ban cosmetics animal testing worldwide by 2023.“We are proud to partner with Humane Society International,an organisation that has done such thoughtful work advocating for animals everywhere,” said Anna Klein,Senior Vice President,Global Corporate Affairs for The Estee Lauder Companies.
